




Smooth Running of KMB Passenger Liaison Group Meetings
The theme of the 2012 KMB Passenger Liaison Group Meetings was "Gearing up to Raise Standards and Explore New Areas of Bus Services" and the meetings were successfully held on 8 September. Members of the public from various walks of life offered suggestions at the meetings, which can act as a blueprint for KMB to enhance its service quality.

More Powerful and Reliable, the gBus² Is Ready for Trial
KMB begins the trial of the next generation "gBus2" equipped with a higher electricity storage capacity. Powered by supercapacitor technology, after being fully charged, gBus2 can run continuously for 8-10 kilometres, twice the range of the previous generation trialled in 2010.

Don't talk to the bus captain when he's driving
No eating and drinking on the bus
Hold the handrail when the bus is moving
Don't stand on the upper deck or staircase
Don't put your feet on the seat opposite
Don't block the staircase, aisles or doorways with your belongings
Don't bring large items on the bus
Don't block the wheelchair space
Don't run after a bus
Don't place your belongings on seats
Keep on the footpath after getting off the bus
Wrap fragile goods up well before boarding
Give your seat to the elderly or those in need
Fold up pushchairs before boarding
No animals except for guide dogs accompanying the blind
Smoking on buses is strictly prohibited by law
Fasten the seat belt where provided
Move down the bus after boarding
Signal clearly when you want to board a bus
Queue up for boarding
Don't stand beyond the yellow lines in the bus
