KMB Receives “Caring Company” Logo for Seventh Consecutive Year
For the seventh consecutive year, KMB was awarded the “Caring Company” Logo from the Hong Kong Council of Social Service.
To be eligible for the award, companies have to demonstrate their commitment to the six criteria of the scheme, namely volunteering, employee friendliness, employing the vulnerable, caring for the environment, mentoring and giving. Fulfilling all six requirements as well as demonstrating good corporate citizenship, KMB received nominations from eight organisations in 2008 and was once again awarded the “Caring Company” Logo. The eight organisations were the Tung Wah Group of Hospitals, Agency for Volunteer Service, Heep Hong Society, Suicide Prevention Services, Christian Family Service Centre, the Boys’and Girls’Clubs Association of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Children and Youth Services, and Junior Achievement of Hong Kong.
KMB has a long tradition of enthusiastic participation in charity events and services. Besides supporting a broad spectrum of community programmes and charitable activities, KMB also encourages its staff to participate in volunteer work. It also established “Friends of KMB”, a volunteer organisation which actively participates in charitable services to help those in need.
