KMB Broadcast Safety Messages on Buses
To promote the importance of proper conduct on buses, KMB has produced a series of ten educational television programmes which are being broadcast on buses. By recreating scenes in a bus compartment, the programmes convey various safety tips, with the aim of ensuring safe and comfortable trips for passengers.
Passenger safety is always KMB’s first priority. Apart from launching television campaigns and bus body and bus shelter advertisements, a series of ten television programmes were recently rolled out on bus Multi-media On-board (MMOB) systems. The programmes simulate real situations faced by passengers on buses with the host demonstrating proper behaviour and correcting wrong conduct. Safety messages include reminders to hold the handrail, give up your seat to the elderly and those in need, fold up pushchairs, buckle safety belts, and not stand on the upper deck or stairway. The programmes also feature a voice-over expanding on the messages to prompt viewers to become good passengers.
The ten programmes are now being broadcast via the MMOB service, enabling passengers not just to enjoy the infotainment but to learn more about safety on their bus journeys.
