KMB Civic Education TV Programmes Won Most Popular TV Commercial Awards

KMB’s civic education television series “Good Passenger in Nature” has won the “Most Popular TV Commercial Award - Info-Service” in the TVB Most Popular TV Commercial Awards 2010.

The competition, organised by TVB, was divided into 13 categories with the public being invited to vote for their favourites from the finalists in each of the categories. KMB’s winning of the award reflects that its civic education TV programmes are well received by audiences.

The “Good Passenger in Nature” series made use of the protective instincts of different animals to reflect human behaviour and convey the message that good passengers should observe safety rules on buses. The five programmes are “Handrails”, “Safety Belts”, “Big Luggage”, “Don’t Stand on the Upper Saloon” and “Take Care of the Kids and the Elderly”. They drew on the uniqueness of monkeys and crabs, chameleons, snails, penguins and kangaroos respectively to convey the various safety tips to passengers. With their humorous touch, the 10-second programmes aim to make a lasting impression on the public.
