KMB Launches the Dennis Jubilant Bus Model

In the 1970s and 1980s, KMB introduced a total of 364 Dennis Jubilant buses. In 1980, one of the first batch of 50 Jubilant buses with Alexander bodies was equipped with an air-conditioning system and luxury seats for trial. Two years later, the bus was turned back into an ordinary bus and given the last number in the series: N364. As the air-conditioning system was installed at the back of the bus on the lower deck, the floor and the windows in the rear part of the lower deck were raised, making it different from other Jubilant buses.

KMB is launching for the first time the Dennis Jubilant bus model. It closely resembles the original bus and is meticulously produced to accurate proportions. The model carries the plate for Route 24, an urban route between Kai Yip and Mong Kok which the bus plied before it was retired. Production of the model is limited to 1,500 pieces and each model comes with a certificate of worldwide guarantee of limited production. The price of each bus model is HK$298. Since the quantity is limited, those interested in purchasing the model are advised to act quickly.

The public is welcome to visit the following KMB Customer Service Centres to purchase the bus model: Tsuen Wan Railway Station Bus Terminus (near the Station Supervisor’s Room), Sha Tin Town Centre Bus Terminus, Tuen Mun Town Centre Bus Terminus, Lam Tin Railway Station Bus Terminus, Mei Foo Bus Terminus, Star Ferry Bus Terminus, the Bus Interchange at the Hung Hom Cross Harbour Tunnel, and Tin Heng Bus Terminus in Tin Shui Wai. If they have enquiries, passengers can call the KMB Customer Service Hotline on 2745 4466, or they can browse the KMB website at www.kmb.hk to shop for other KMB souvenirs.
