Q1. Can I use one e-payment method to pay for several bus fares?
A1. Yes, passengers may use a single e-payment method to pay for several bus fares. However, please note that five minutes are required between each transaction. Hence, passengers can use their different credit cards or e-wallets to pay one by one without having to wait five minutes.
Q2. Can I enjoy the Bus-bus Interchange Discount Scheme through the new system?
A2. Bus-bus Interchange Discount Schemes of some KMB routes and LWB A routes are applicable to the new system. Passengers must use the same credit card or e-payment account for designated routes to enjoy the second leg discount. If the payment methods for the two journeys are different, the interchange discount will not be available for the second leg.
Q3. Can I enjoy the Public Transport Fare Subsidy Scheme or the Government's $2 Fare Concession Scheme for the Elderly and Persons with Disabilities through the new system?
A3. It is not currently possible to enjoy the subsidy and the concession through the new system, as the Government schemes do not cover e-payment. Similarly, fares paid in cash are not included in the schemes. To receive the relevant subsidy or enjoy the discount, please pay with Octopus.
Q4. What can I do when an invalid payment happens?
A4. Please use another payment method to pay for the bus fare and inform the relevant e-payment supplier.
